Guitarist
Nick Mordal

More than 15 years of performing, 10 years of teaching experience and a deep understanding of how of music works.

Having a well-rounded musical vocabulary, my strengths in music show breadth. By appreciating all styles of music, I live in the rock, classical, jazz and popular worlds of music. I have been refining my teaching style and creating my own lessons for a decade and I wish to inspire guitarists by showing them to the many possibilities of musical expression, and helping them to master the fretboard and play with confidence.

Advanced Guitar Course
Teaching Philosophy

The online course is designed for guitarists who already know their way around the guitar a little bit and need new ideas to continue improving. There is so much to learn, yet it is common that guitarists run out of things to practice to keep learning. So my goal is to help you continue moving up and making your guitar sound REALLY good.

Is your timing inconsistent, not as tight with your drummer as it should be? Do you struggle with intonation when bending strings? Do you know theory well enough to be able improvise over tricky chord changes? Are you getting unwanted string noise? Does your fingerstyle technique need to be more efficient? These are common issues that guitarists run into as they try to get to the next step and audition for bands or network to get better gigs.

I have been teaching guitar for a decade now, and have come up with answers to so many issues like these. I have spent the time figuring it out so you don't have to. I can think of guitar in music theory terms: key and time signatures, scales, arpeggios, articulations, rhythms, counterpoint etc. Like Rick Beato, I can hang in just about any musical genre fom classical to modern rock/pop to jazz.

At the end of the day I want to meet the student where they are and work with them to increase their skills so they can fit music into their life the way they want it to. Music is just a different language that anyone can learn to speak.
